Arriving in Norfolk we were able to enjoy warmth and sunshine again for the first time. As that would be the last port in the US, before heading back to the Caribbean, there were still a few things to do. So after we had frittered away the Sunday peacefully and lazily, We picked up our rental car on Monday and started the first of many more shopping trips. In the evening we finally met our friends Lynne and Dick, who we met on our first stay in Norfolk in June. Eric too, the French sailor from Cape May, “one hand” had finally reached Norfolk and was keeping our merry group company. So Halloween passed by us very quietly and almost unnoticed. Because apart from a few beautifully decorated houses, we didn't see anything.

Errands, Repairs, Preparations and cozy, Meetings with our friends dominated the next few days and were a nice change after the rather hectic time in New York.
